3e traveller
So on the GURPS books page, most of the 3e traveller books are listed as being available on W23 but I can't find any. What gives? Have they been pulled?

Re: 3e traveller
I just put "GURPS Traveller" into the W23 search box, and a bunch of titles came up. I'm not familiar with the series, so I don't know if all of them are there.

Re: 3e traveller
Thanks. Weird, I searched traveller, got one 4e book. Searched 3e and looked through all 9 pages and got nothing.

Re: 3e traveller
Strange... I searched the 3E stuff for Traveller and got a bunch of titles, including the main book and several of the different race and planetary system books.

They exist, but the license has expired. They are not available for purchase anymore.

Re: 3e traveller
Are you sure? I put one in my crate and got as far as the point where they asked me to pay.

Re: 3e traveller
When the license transitioned, the GURPS Traveller products were briefly unavailable, but they returned to Warehouse 23. If you look carefully at their pages, you'll see they're now listed as "Far Future Enterprises / GURPS Traveller" above the title, rather than "Steve Jackson Games / GURPS / GURPS 3rd Ed" -- e.g., Behind The Claw. Also, note that the URL has a "-ffe" tacked onto the end.
As I recall from earlier threads, SJG is allowed to sell out their physical inventory. So, you can still find the occasional book under the SJG category instead of FFE -- e.g., Kamsii. I take this to mean FFE is still happy to sell the books via W23. But the difference between new digital copies sold by FFE and old paper copies sold by SJG perhaps contributes to the confusion based on how you find the books. I tried both the left-hand menus, and also just searching for "Traveller". |

Re: 3e traveller
Note that one side effect of this is that if you own the SJG version of an e-book, and look at the FFE version of the exact same book, the system will not warn you that you have it already. Which is does in other cases.

Re: 3e traveller
Well, that's a little annoying but, regardless, I was looking for a friend who doesn't own any GURPS anyway, so no issues there.

Re: 3e traveller
Another helpful thing is to search for GURPS Traveller Classic rather than 3rd edition.
