As a character who gained 278 points in play she presents an interesting check on Kromm's note about higher point characters having more gear.

Some back of the napkin math puts her equipment at $210,000, with $80k being liquid cash right now from recent adventures. I believe I was going to put that money into a more highly enchanted bow and some rings enchanted with Bless (another useful tool for those adventuring in small groups). That works out to just about $750 per point earned. A lot of that magic stuff is "nice to have" rather than "must have" though, I could imagine a new character getting $300/point and being very comfortably equipped in magic gear and ready to tackle serious challenges. That's at least within an order of magnitude of Kromm's absolute minimum, so it seems reasonable.

Side-Tangent: What's "Storage Space"? (At the end of the Disadvantages section.)

We left "town" very nebulously defined for this game, but we still wanted to limit what you could safely leave behind. For every $1 you spent on "storage space" you could safely store $10 of equipment, consumables, mounts, etc. in town. The expense was assumed to cover guards, vault fees, bribes to the thieves guild, or whatever else you flavoured it as that keeps your stuff safe while you're gone. Gwendolyn and Velouria shared a property that they described as "A house surrounded by high, viciously thorned hedges. Snakes slither in and out as they please, and the mailman always brings a raw stake with him as a gift for the resident war cats."

This helped curb people stockpiling a ton of consumables or holding onto magic items nobody intended to use but that they "might one day". One particularly wealthy and powerful leprechaun wizard kept a very well stocked guild hall and would gizmo most of his consumables from it rather than carry the weight.
