I, too, have sent a request. My character's name is in the notes/comments section.

Please note that I made an addition to the above post on rank (post #31), indicating that Merchant Rank 1 will be appropriate for all of three of our Petty Officers on the Hiawatha.

Do we still have any other players looking to join, or are we stable now with 3 players controlling 6 characters?

Let's stabilize here. We can expand later, if need be.

Still need --
Mister Juan's First Officer, Commander Sharmila Singh, and
sn0wball's Ship's Doctor Commander Zübeyde Chevalier,
added to the crew roster sometime. No hurry, but please don't forget, guys.

Quick question, pup. Can I use the styles from Martial Arts for my purser?

He does that too. I'm trying to give him a bit of flavor. So I gave him the Quirk: Incompetence (Guns) and need to compensate for it. That way we don't end up with yet another gunslinger, yet he is still able to contribute at least a little if the ship gets boarded.

I guess it all depends on how you work it into his back-ground. But, as far as the rules question goes: Yes, I have GURPS 4E Martial Arts, so that book is fair game. I appreciate you checking though, thanks.

Nothing cinematic or anything, don't worry. My Dagger Fighting Shotokanka doesn't have Hypnotic Hands or Kiai (though he is known to shout kiai during a fight). Basically, karate was his 'serious hobby' (black belt) during college and he's kept it up and emphasized the combative side of it in light of the work he was doing just before coming aboard the Hiawatha.
