Given how low the chances of 20s-30s winning seem to be now, I'm almost tempted to start a Vote Up a CLIFFHANGERS setting thread. I'm not serious, but The Rocketeer and Sky Captain's World Of Tomorrow are kinda neat, and thus evoke fuzzy sentiments. :)

I was thinking something similar. It might be best to separate time into pre-industrial, industrial, atomic, digital (which include recent past, present, and near future), and space.

It would probably require a new vote, though.

There's Brennan which have Chi powers, too.
The point I was referring to is that I like one single origin, like virus is in Wild Cards, that can account for a wide variety of powers. And I like an origin that suddenly changes forever the world as we know it.

My opinion on the voting: since past, present, and future are the candidates, determine a winner among them by pure votes, and then access the general preferences of the winning voters, and select a time period of your own choosing.

My votes:

THE PAST: I'd prefer prohibition era.

ONE ORIGIN of powers. Preferably an enigmatic and mysterious one, a la Heroes.

The first two are the same in that the virus is made to splice in a warped, powerful form of innate psi.
