Hut starts driving baba in --- but the fight will be long over by the time he gets there (10 minutes to warm up the warping)

Ooc: as brilliant and idle as the characters have been in tge vehicleI would think we could have prepared the travel for all but the final magical sequence... What do you think gm? Please?

OCC: hmm.... yeah, I can see that. but It won't be instant. base time is 10 minutes, IQ by baba .. success by 8-- factor of 25 on size/distance table -- you will arrive 24 seconds after Herazian looses his warp.

With a single beat of its wings the massive bird covers most of the distance to Herazian.

The would be god unleashes a blast into the ground at avatar's feet, keeping his hands close to his body to prevent parrying.

Attack: +4 for area, -4 deceptive (-2 to parry), -1 range (3 yards), skill 17.
Damage: 60 knockback. defend as you will, remember DX roll to keep feet.

The Hut is on its way.

((Rolls: Had to do them by hand, Invisible Castle is down.
Defensive:
Parry at -2 (Roll of 9 vs Effective Parry 12)
Destructive Parry Damage: 5d = 2d x 2.5 = (9 x 2.5 = 22.5) cutting
DX Check (Roll of 11 vs DX 16)


Offensive:
Deceptive Attack -3 (-6 to skill) (Roll of 8 vs Effective Weapon Skill 14)
Destructive Parry Damage: 5d = 2d x 2.5 = (6 x 2.5 = 17) cutting.

Note: I am assuming it is okay for the Avatar to have switched to his normal sword configuration. ))

The Avatar lunges out and fouls the resplendian's shot, despite his efforts to protect the gesture, and draws back his sword across his foes body...

Ward remains ready to act defensively, and his shadow creates a solid illusion platform under the Avatar's feet to secure his footing.

Damage 22.5 - 1DR = 21.5 *1.5 (cutting on limb) = 32.25 (moderate wound: -3 shock)
HT roll for impairment = HT 12 vs 11 -- success
Herazian's blast is directed up into the sky. Blood drips from his hand -- it will be harder for him to use now.

As Avatar presses the attack, Herazian lithely tries to dodge out of the way by twisting as he retreats
Acrobatics 15-3(shock)=12 vs 10 success!
Dodge 12 +3(retreat) +2 (acrobatics) -3 (deceptive) = 14 vs 9 = success!

Herazian seems to be trying to just avoid getting hit more (all out defence)

OCC: Avatar's DX is 13, not 16 -- but with the margin of victory on the parry, that doesn't really matter. And 6*2.5 is 15 -- but that doesn't matter either!

Yes, If changing alternate attacks is a free action, he most certainly can be using his normal blade

The Avatar allows himself a little grin... Ward is pleased to have Herazian on the defensive...

He steps forward and swings his blade, just missing Herazian (Feint! Roll of 8 vs skill 20, success by 12)

Ward's shadow continues to play with the illusory ground, keeping the surface under the Avatar stable, but scattering ice chunks in Herazian's hex and behind it to create uneven footing where he is, and to where he might retreat.

Herazian "dodges", and rapidly backs up to get out of parry range, blasting another attack at avatar's feet.

Brawling 17 +2 (all out defence) = 19 vs 14 = success buy 5 -- +7 to next attack
Acrobatics to stay up 15 vs 13 = success
Will to use hand 13 vs 13 success (barely)
Attack 17 - 2 (range) - 4 (move and attack) - 0 (bulk) +4 (area attack) -2 (uneven ground) 13 vs 6
Damage 10 *2d = 70 knockback

((OOC: Please Roll for me for this post, as I don't have my dice with me. ))

Ward, who has been waiting to act defensively, attempts to use a sacrificial parry to ward off the attack.

((OOC: For Ward, should I be declaring Wait, or Concentrate or AoD? It's fuzzy because of telekinesis... I think I was clear that this is what he was doing.)

He will use a Judo Parry, and spends an FP for Furious Defense. Effective Parry 12

If that fails, The Avatar will Dodge
((OOC: He can dodge this, right? Can he do so without a dodge and drop? I'm a little fuzzy on the attack form, is this a cone, area attack, explosion? What are his defensive options if Ward fails?))

(OCC:It's clear ward can do attempt to deflect, I debated using deceptive attack here -- Lets call it all out defence (for +2). However, success by one or less means the attack went down instead of wide , and will hit between Herazian and ward.

The attack is an explosion -- Avatar will be effected by it on a dodge, but can increase distance via dodge or avoid it drop and dodge (though as the point is to knock him over its a little counter productive))

Parry 10+2 (FP) +2 (All out) = 14 vs 9 success by 5.

Ward swats the beam from hitting again, and it goes wide.
