Default Epic Pathfinder at last

We still haven't had a chance to update the actual Epic Munchkin rulesheet (free game support PDFs fall behind games we can sell in the production queue), but I wanted to post the Epic Pathfinder rules so y'all can see them.

I have Epic rules for the new Class in Sheep Impact, but I'm going to hold off on that for a bit.

Reminder: an asterisk following an Epic ability means that it replaces or significantly modifies an existing ability. Other abilities add on to what's there.

ALCHEMIST
Supreme Potion Master: "Usable once only" Items you play in any combat are worth an extra +3, added after the doubling from Potion Master.

NECROMANCER
Resilience: If you add a monster to a combat and it is killed, put that Monster card back in your hand after the fight.

SUMMONER
Monstrous Allies: You can treat any card in your hand as if it were a Wandering Monster card. Discard the chosen card from your hand to add a monster to a combat from your hand.

WITCH
Excessive Familiarity: When your familiar protects your from a Curse, instead of putting it on the bottom of the Door deck, put it in your hand.*

EAGLE KNIGHT
Stand Faster: You no longer have a Run Away penalty for using your Stand Fast ability.*

HELLKNIGHT
Discard Inferior Gear: You may discard Armor and Headgear cards to use their base bonus as a one-shot combat bonus for either side.

PATHFINDER
Keep Some Secrets To Yourself: Before Kicking Open The Door, look at the top three Door cards in the deck. Discard one, put one in your hand, and put the other back on top of the deck, then Kick Open the Door as normal.*

RED MANTIS ASSASSIN
Super-Stealth: Ignore all Run Away penalties. You can still be forced to fail automatically.

Question:

Does the "Epic Red Mantis Assassin" escape automatically unless he is forced to fail or does it mean that any "-# Run Away" attributes don't apply?

It means he ignores the -X to Run Away penalties.

I am reading it to mean that if you are wearing the Foot Mounted Mace, and have to run from the Snails on Speed, you are unaffected by the cumulative -4 to run away. The "forced to fail" caveat is there in case the Floating Nose or the Crabs best you, they automatically catch you, as per the card rules.

Yes, but something that says he fails automatically still works.

UPDATE: Sorry. Didn't catch the epic Pathfinder that says "do things with cards...THEN KICK OPEN THE DOOR AS NORMAL"
So... ignore my question...sorry

The epic rules for kicking door says

Quote:
"When an Epic munchkin kicks down a door, turn over two cards and apply them as follows..."
How is this rule applied to pathfinder faction?

Do what the Epic rule says, above, then kick open two doors.
