Fear of non-replacement is a powerful thing. :-)

From a gifting perspective to young teens, I'm trying to decide what makes more sense: The New Melee and Wizard, The Legacy ed, or the Pocket Box Melee/Wizard.

$310,000 with 72 minutes to go. 3330 backers
Blew through that 300K mark like six 40-point delvers facing one slime.

Go get them Pocket Boxes.

Various SJG folks (Phil, I think, and perhaps others) have said they're using Backerkit and that we'll be able to add things.

I'm going with the pocket box for gifts, for a couple reasons: It's got that old-time feel (which lets my pals experience it sorta how I experienced it way back when), and some of my friends have storage-space problems (small apartments and so on).

$317k+ USD is an amazing campaign for a game that has been out of print for 35 years. I hope Steve and the whole crew at SJG is as pleased as can be about this.

there's advantages to both. For me, I'm looking more at the younger crowd rather than the old-school crowd.

The real appeal to the pocket box is being able to give _both_ Melee and Wizard at a lower price point, which means I don't have to choose who gets what; everyone gets both.

The advantage to going with the new stuff is they are future-proofed for expansions. I've got some time to decide, at least.
