Default Spells and large subjects

Is casting spells on large (or small!) subjects any different from human sized targets?
  1. Is it any different for Regular spells?
  2. Is it any different for Resisted spells?

Things I can think of that might be different:
  • Figure range to target for Regular spells by the furthest hex vs closest, or the head wherever that may be (causing possible extra spell penalties)
  • A penalty to cast Regular/Resisted spells on large targets based on Size Modifier, or number of hexes
  • Extra fatigue cost for big creatures based on Size Modifier, or number of hexes

How much of the target has to be in an Area spell's area to
  1. take damage from a simple damage spell like Firecloud
  2. be affected by a Resisted area spell (like Mass Daze)
  3. be subject to wacky edge cases (Dispell Magic, which isn't resisted by the target but is resisted by the spells...)

I am assuming nothing weird happens with a direct damage spell like Fireball or Flame Jet as they're very similar to regular old melee weapons and bows.

Do explosions do damage according to the distance to the closest hex? (eg, if any part of the creature is at ground zero, it takes full damage, even if it's furthest hex is 11 hexes away from that point)

Only in cost.

The rest of your questions are in the realms of house rulings at the moment AFAICT.
