I've been seeing the problem for days now. I didn't mention it because other folks had already done so.
Whatever fix you did worked, as I am not seeing the notifications today. (That's why I'm writing this message - I thought that might be good information.)

FWIW, pretty much any adware/malware blocker that's being actively maintained already regards coinhive as a Bad Thing.

WeAs a side note, the new version of Firefox doesn't let you use old NoScript and rhe new version isn't out yet, so Quantum will let scripts install malware really fast, I gather.
