No Arms?
Ok so I showed my shiny new box off to a couple of my prospective players last night. One of them see's One Arm and goes "Oooo. Can I play a Martial Artist with No Arms?"
So whilst I applauded his desire to push boundaries (Though as he put it he's had so many people go out of there way to break his games he tends to end up doing it when he's a player. I pointed out in turn he's never run an game for me so that's a bit unfair... I think we have an agreement) I wanted to stick to what's in the box for now. Also I figured if he had no arms much of the game would be taken up by his character tying to do basic stuff. And the questions about how he dresses and other things might derail the fun. Later I'm looking in 4th Ed Characters book and realise there isn't a No Arms disadvantage. Would it basically be "No Fine Manipulators" with the added proviso that you can't punch things?

Yeah the names are a bit deceptive, the naming assumption for NFM is you can still push stuff around with your body or hold things crudely in your teeth, so you still have *some* manipulation ability even though you lack arms.

Re: No Arms?
That makes more sense but the description was a bit off. Well if he wants to make Master Pong he of the scary looking loin cloth then I know how to do it.
And I'll promptly make a dungeon with lots of climbing....

Re: No Arms?
You can climb ladders with no hands, you hook your arm around the side of the ladder, or around the rungs. I've done it a lot when I was a painter with full hands. Of course I could drop everything and grab if I needed to, but if you are adventuring with no hands, you're already used to work arounds, and increased risk.
