I've never seen those gel tests and I don't trust _anyone's_ manufacturer's press releases as a source for hard data about complex issues. The laws of physics make it extraordiuanrily unlikely that you can push the center of mass towards the base of the bullet by having a nose that's twice as dense as the base.

It's plastic-tipped bullets and outright hollowpoints that move their center of ass backwards.
