Default Black Magic idea

I was thinking that using magic always has a chance of incorporating black magic into it. The idea for using black magic that I have is that if a wizard needs extra energy reserve points then he can always use black magic points when he needs to . The idea is that tre points that the wizard uses of black magic must be points towards an evil disadvantage such as Detects as Evil, Callous, Bully, Sadism etc. those points can be used to power spells but they also become disadvantages until they wear off or are paid off.

Something like Threshold Magic? With different "disasters"?

If you have Horror I would look into the Corruption mechanic. You can also look at Spirit-Assisted Magic from Thaumatology.
