Re: GURPS Releases seem to be slow?
I'm excited for more GURPS books too. As far as Ogre goes, I'm awaiting the Box of Doom with anticipation, but honestly, I'd rather have more GURPS books. I realize that the issue with GURPS isn't one that can be easily solved by throwing money at it, but at the same time, I wish it was. Then I could throw my money at it and hope it did some good!

Re: GURPS Releases seem to be slow?
I have a fantasy where they do some sort of GURPS kickstarter and it blows the pants off the Ogre kickstarter, then priorities shift to GURPS. Not going to happen, but a guy can dream.

Kromm's LiveJournal entry of 7th December was indicating a final draft some time around mid-2013. RogerBW's tracker is helpful for this kind of stuff.

Just for the point of offering my opinion (knowing full well that it will have no weight whatsoever with the decision process...)...I have no opinion on the "supporting a fourth worked-genre series" issue. But my hope would be that the initial books can be put out and we (the forumites) can run with it. On the "interfering with GURPS Survivors" issue, I would hope that After the End::Survivors would work the same way Dungeon Fantasy::Fantasy do. I don't see DF interfering with Fantasy, but then I'm on the outside looking in and using both. But, since it's on the backburner for the forseeable future, I might as well start work on my mutant generator again... |
