Default [Basic] Reach for +SM and Shaking

Greetings, fellow GURPSians. I have two questions for you all.

1) Is there something in the Basic books that shows how Reach changes based on SM? For example, does a SM+2 creature have a longer Reach for its punch than C?

2) How would I model an animal that grabs its prey and shakes it to break bones, etc.? Would this ignore DR from worn armor? I think it would, as I imagine it working similar to the arm lock from Judo [B403], which ignores flexible armor.

Thanks in advance!

1) Size Modifier and Reach, p. 402.
2) Neck Snap or Wrench Limb, p. 404. Martial Arts and Technical Grappling both expand on this.

B404 as Balor pointed out includes a similar note:
The target’s natural DR (unless it has the Tough Skin limitation)
and the DR of his rigid armor
protect normally.
Flexible armor has no effect!
I'm not sure why it specifies "unless it has tough skin" TBH, since that already includes "flexible". It's not as if tough skin is the only exit clause since if you had non-skin flexible -20% armor it should still bypass it.

I think that would even be the case with Flexible Force Field...

Not sure once you get to the point of AE though because then you're projecting a field a distance from your body, which I would think just completely prevent attacking you from short-range weapons whose reach/max are less than the AE radius unless you are able to get through the field.

Which can be done by attacking a hole (briefly opens and you can step through) or by just walking through (thrust crushing).

This "brief hole" policy has got me thinking though... why would that apply here and not to standard DR penetration?

Because 'natural armour' that isn't 'tough skin' might still be flexible.

"Flexible armor has no effect" sounds like that wouldn't work.

If Flexible -20% already doesn't work then I don't understand why you need to add "unless it has tough skin" since tough skin includes flexible and thus inherits all its drawbacks.
