Get a higher Path skill - keep in mind the target's Resistance roll is penalized by your MoS. A non-RAW and probably-overcomplicated approach can be found here.

Except that the rule of 16 applies to RPM (At least to my knowledge, perhaps I am wrong)- so a caster with path skill 26 and a caster with path skill 16 have the same ~50% chance to afflict a person with will 16.

Thus I can see the argument for 'there should be some way to reduce target resistance and thus reward high skill'.

However I can also see the counter-argument: Higher skill means you can be carting more canned spells (charms, hanging rituals, etc), and build spells faster, thus the higher skill dictates how often you can force that ~50% resistance roll, AND direct damage spells (fireballs, lightning bolts, etc), are thrown and not resisted, and higher skill means you can invest the energy into making those much more difficult (if not impossible) to avoid (area effect 16 yards makes dodging an external area spell pretty much impossible, and lets the shooter target the hex the occupant is in for +4 to hit)

RPM spells are resisted with the better of Will and HT, and I'm not certain the Rule of 16 applies in that case. It seems odd that you can have a case where a character with HT 16 and Will 12 is actually better off resisting with Will (against casters with skill above 20, where Rule of 16 means the caster will have a lower MoS against Will).

Inherent Modifiers: Range, Damage
Greater Effects: 0 .

Rips out a piece of the subject's soul, doing toxic damage. This damage cannot be healed using Physician or Path of Body rituals. Instead, use Esoteric Medicine or Restore Spirit. Otherwise the victim recovers normally with time.

Typical Casting: Lesser Destroy Spirit (5) + Range 15 yard (5) + Subject Weight 300 lbs (3) + 1d+2 Internal toxic damage (2) 15 energy

In order for the damage to not be heal-able except via special conditions your going to have the enhance the damage with 'permanent with dispelling conditions +150%'

Conversely you could afflict 'reduced hp' with a long duration, which would achieve an arguably better effect (since it makes the threshold for KO AND death checks get reduced

It is healable, though; it's exactly as easy/difficult to heal as any other damage, it just needs different skills.
