Default [WWII][3E] Four Russian opolchenie (worker-fighters)

All characters copyright 2009 by Brandon Cope

Here are four Russian opolchenie, civilian workers with minimal military training who took up arms in defense of Mother Russia in 1941 due to a shortage of trained soldiers. They were primarily used to man static defenses and often did more to build them than fight from them. Once these characters are replaced by regular troops and go back their regular jobs, their Duty will be reduced or eliminated, increasing their point total. See p.W:RT51 for more info and a template. While the write-ups assume the NPCs are based around Stalingrad -- the GM should feel free to change this, requiring only minimal changes (Moscow is another good choice).

Gear is up to the GM, but as noted on p.W63, Wealth level should be a guide to the quality and quantity of equipment. A suggestion is a greatcoat, Mosin-Nagant M1891/30 with 30-60 rounds, a large knife or bayonet, perhaps a helmet and maybe one F-1 hand grenade. Most other standard gear would be missing, in poor repair, or scrounged civilian items.

Just an observation; wouldn't Combat Reflexes be a better fit ? I mean since he actually has quite a lot of previous combat experience ?

I need to edit that to be more clear. While he was a soldier over 20 years before, he didn't get much combat experience. I strongly considered giving him Overconfidence or possibly a Delusion.

Fair enough, just though that even if it was long ago he actually did fight; he might quickly get "back into old shoes" so to say. But I guess that Combat Reflexes are for more experienced combatants.

Overconfidence is always fun though :)
