Corat shrugs. "He's a Nightmare demon. Maybe he's less serving one and more working with one. Beleth has so many of them hostage." Quote:
He takes a moment to look around, really look. Ryuki is still gone and if Kane's there physically he's checked out mentally. ((RocketMan if you want him to have been away physically, under the circumstances I can very easily hand him a weird resonance on Ryuki and Kane's been off following him. He kind of wants to talk to Kane right now anyway.)) ((A couple of PMs in that post, highlight after your name.))

Mich clucks his tongue in disappointment as the Symphony refuses to give up its secrets today and nods at Glen "Should we venture into the Ethereal or wake him up? Perhaps he will be more willing to talk when not in conference with his fellow demons."

He leans over to Mo-mo. "I have an idea. Bakuya goes and asks the Loa for suggestions." He giggles like it's the most evil plan in the world, and then continues. "Send Raiden to Misrule to get the other plan, and then you go tell your Nightmare boss what screwups the other two are." Mo-mo's face says this is a bad idea. "Not boss. You know what Nightmare bosses do to failures. Not even messengers are safe." "Aaaaah," Corat does his best to sound sympathetic. "Then you go get Misrule to fix all this, and have that snitch Raiden go explain failure to Nightmares. Buh-bye snitch-boy." Mo-mo seems to like this plan, and repeats it to his comrades on the other side. He doesn't seem to get slapped or anything, so they haven't rejected it outright.

"It's going to be dangerous regardless, but is it a good idea for you to follow them to a Demon Princess' realm? I say you stick with the Ethereals. As for me, it'll be dangerous either way. I don't think we should separate."

"I'm with her; we've got an excellent, low-risk source of intelligence right here. We should interrogate this one first, before we start screwing around with attempts to infiltrate hostile territory."

"You are such a tourist." He arches an eyebrow at the sleeping form in your midst. "Tai chi, really? And isn't that the guy who was stirring things up back at the castle?" "Yes." Corat brings him quickly up to speed. "Nope, you're not going into the dreams after him." Kane may demand may-I's, but most folks did not. "If someone like me or Sunae get caught in there, you wake us up. If you get caught in there you're in real trouble." He conveniently forgets how much trouble his friends the Dylans had gotten into in a situation very much like this one. "Us specialists will pin him in his vessel and then either we all go in and tag him together, or just us mortals." An odd detail for someone like him to miss--surely he noticed that a demon was sleeping, rather than pocketing his vessel to go to the Nightmare realm. "Why not just question him here and now?" Corat points to the sleeping demon. "There are a lot of things I'd ask him. Why is he here? Why this castle on this date? Who is he working for? Who does he think he's working for, and who are they working for, and why this guy? Who does he plan to report to, and who is he hiding from if anyone, and who would he hide that report from? And the best way to--" Mo-mo speaks up a little. "That's too many questions!" Ryuki's irritated with himself for ignoring the demon's hearing. "Shut up, I wasn't asking you." And then attempting to finish his thought, "--is to follow him." ((Ryuki's been offstage for a little while, either with NPCs, Kane, or both, so until I resolve that I'm leaving the details a little vague. No problem asking him where he's been but I'll be working around that open question.))

Corat rolls his eyes, making no attempt to hide it. "And pointless in the Marches. You couldn't dream your way out of a soap bubble." Ryuki is offended to the point of speechless, but he's also not denying it at all. "If you go in, you'll need a guide. Kane, or Sunae, or Glen, or all three. The rest of us could help but only if this chucklehead doesn't run into any ethereals who were at that party."
