OOOhhh. I like that.

Supposedly this is what record producers used to have back in the day. Out of all the songs available, they were able to say "This one's the hit."

Oxford Dictionary says of value - The regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something. "your support is of great value"

Most people consider RecValue just for money value on an object. And the Recognize Value talent is used for that.

But this talent can be broadened a bit beyond 'objects' to things (concepts).
A person might get "Recognize Value" of the non-objects kind in relations to their particular Job. This might be combined with other talents to clarify a choice or knowledge.
  • A cook might be able to recognize the value of one herb over the three others presented.
  • In the music comment above, a bard might recognize that a tune and lyrics sung by that lousy minstrel actually has worth.
  • As commented already, it could be that an item solely has value because it was owned by a famous person. Scholars might recognize this type of thing.

As such, Recognize Value can sometimes come with a Talent if it is used in conjunction with that talent.

A sleuth might recognize the value of one researched data over several others. Used this way, its more like a hunch. The sleuth should have some talents to back this up though, and in TFT that might be tough to create.
