Playing one-shots in combat
Can I put one-shot item on the table during the fight, without using it?

Re: Playing one-shots in combat
The intent of the rule allowing you to play one-shots during a fight is that you're using them, not just getting them out of your hand. So I'm going to say no.

Burmt I'm confused, the rules say that if it's a one-shot item with a price in gold coins, you can put it on the table and out of your hand, for future usage, and even exchange it with other players...

You can do all of those things. Just not during combat.

Re: Playing one-shots in combat
Great, thanks for the explanation, I'm a newbie to Munchkin, but we ran into this situation at the last game and even the one of my friends who's been playing for years and introduced me to the game didn't know what to do in this situation.
