Default Writing?

Obviously I missed the Ogrezine boat...work got busy, and I didn't get a chance to take a writing exercise borne of a comment in passing in some thread or another and run it through the SJG style guide until last night. With that being the case [and my being unable to find the 'Writing for Ogrezine' page now (turns out I'm just blind -edit)] I'm guessing it's a safe assumption that sending in an [Ogrezine QUERY] message would be poor form.

So where would I go from here? The important part to me is getting the story shared, I just don't want to commit some huge faux pas in the process.

Send an Ogrezine query anyway and let Drew tell you if it'll happen or not.

It won't hurt anybody to send it in, and might be material for Ogrezine #2 if it ever happens. :-)

...and, if you decide to send it in but change your mind, a simple note to Drew of "sorry, I want to put this up on the forums instead of waiting to publish it" will not bother him at all. SJ Games likes fan material, as long as it respects their IP. (See http://www.sjgames.com/general/online_policy.html for their guidelines.)

As someone who has been previously published by SJ Games, I *highly* recommend this.

Please send your ideas in!

I'm not sure what has been "scrubbed from the website", but our Writers Guidelines are still up and accessible from the Ogrezine home page.

(I'm not saying things haven't been removed; I'm just unaware of such!)

As to an Ogrezine 2, that is still under consideration. But I know if I don't have quality submissions, it will never happen!

As always, feel free to drop me a line if you have questions.

D.

PS - And to those of you who have submitted ideas and haven't heard from me, my apologies! The various projects have kept me occupied and not keeping up with review. I endeavor to fix that in the very near future as I've reached a small lull...!

I've gotta eat the crow on that one...I'd always gone to the "General Info" page, and couldn't find it in the other places I looked. The wealth of "Dude, it's over here" links show me being WAY wrong on that one.

I'll get the original post edited so anyone coming along later doesn't get the wrong idea. And sounds good! I'll get a query in probably later tonight.
