Car Wars today. So far, accurate guessing for 2013.

Re: The 2013 e23 Releases and Speculation Thread
I've been hoping that since they're understandably looking towards Car Wars they'll try and hit two birds with one stone, and release some of the classic GURPS Autoduel material.

I for one hope for the GURPS Thaumatology: Ritual Path Magic to come out Very Soon...
Might not. :/

You know what would make me a happy camper? GURPS Voodoo. I never managed to pick it up and it's always seemed interesting.

Re: The 2013 e23 Releases and Speculation Thread
I ran a one-shot using Voodoo a while back but instead of the magic system in the book I inserted RPM. It. Worked. Awesome. The one-hot actually turned into a twofer. Always leave'em wanting more. ;-)

Re: The 2013 e23 Releases and Speculation Thread
I don't see any mention on the upcoming GURPS releases list of the project Steve Jackson is possibly writing, mentioned here. Was there ever any word that it wasn't going to happen?

I don't think so, but if nothing further has been said about it there would not be anything to put in the lists. Ogre took a lot longer to go to press than that article assumes.

A somewhat related question: I perceive Hellsgate as a test balloon for a continuation of online Pyramids 'Riggsby's strange fantasy city states' series (Amadan/Aulos/Uxuloth/Saroo/Kunruk) in a longer 30 page format. Since I always loved these articles (I've run three campaigns in my personal Amadan/Aulos crossover), and really liked the new incarnation with more crunch, NPCs and so on: How successful was that test case (if it was indeed such a thing) from your perspective? How possible is it that more strange cities in this style will follow? |
