Costs Damage +?%
There was a race in something I was reading that had a very neat idea for an attack; Any scars on their body can be converted into a wrapping attack similar to spider webbing. They wouldn't even bother dodging in fights because they could takes their wounds off and shoot them at people.
Of course, I had to figure out how to make that in gurps. Binding Attack with Costs Damage is simple enough (it's implied the strength is some combination of user's strength and the severity of the wounds). Except that I haven't the slightest clue how to price "Costs Damage" other than making the assumption it would be an enhancement of some sort. Any thoughts? Thank you ahead of time. |

You might be able to whip something up with an Energy Reserve recharged by taking damage.

Re: Costs Damage +?%
Could Link Binding with Healing so they both activate together. Not an Enhancement, but a linked Advantage.
If you want to dice for the amount healed, a range symmetrically distributed around the average is usually considered to cost the same as the average. Last edited by Anaraxes; 03-17-2020 at 09:32 PM. |

Re: Costs Damage +?%
If the damage goes away when they use the power, that's DR+Absorption+ER+Binding. If they actually suffer damage that has to be healed normally, that's Binding with Costs HT and a fairly minor Accesibility: must be injured by external source. Probably -5%, no more than -10%. If they get injured, heal, and then can use Binding, that's a rather extreme sort of Preparation Required.

That's probably the closest option I feel. Can Link be used to attack one person while healing another (yourself)?

Without DR, it would be Healing (Self Only, Link, permanent, and Trigger, very common, dangerous) + Binding (Link, Trigger)

Re: Costs Damage +?%
I meant the permanent version of Link, for 10%.

Oh, the 'must use' version, gotcha. What would be a good limitation on this for having the same targeting list for Healing? I know "Living only" is +20%, would this be -30%? |
