Higher Constriction ST than Body ST... Lifting or Striking?
As the topic indicates, I'm currently wrestling with an issue regarding Constriction Attack.
Basically, the character with Constriction Attack has ST 12, but I want the character to be able to attack with an effective ST 16-20 (or more, as I might want to boost to Constriction ST 30....). Would the difference be considered Lifting or Striking, or do I need to add modified Extra/Enhanced/Super ST?

Lifting ST applies to grapples, and Constriction is effectively a special case of grappling. So, I'd say you could use Lifting.

Re: Higher Constriction ST than Body ST... Lifting or Striking?
To be fair, I'm looking at a character who is essentially a "snake with limbs", able to wrap both limbs and body around someone to constrict with a slightly stronger ST than he can lift/strike. I don't think Constriction Attack counts as an "alternate form" or "altered body state", at least by RAW, though I'm not ruling it out.
I overlooked the use of a power talent, though. This char has a few other traits that could benefit from a Snake Power Talent. Cost doesn't exactly factor into the build (I've got about 500 points to play with, and I've only used less than 300 before factoring in disads), so that might be worth looking into.

I'm now picturing a snake lifting huge weights by its head to improve its squeezing strength.
