Re: Image Thread
Sadly, the local gamestore is unlikely to have a hardcopy of the In Nomine rules. The most recent, third printing edition is entirely PDF. ( http://e23.sjgames.com/item.html?id=SJG30-3301 )
However, for some various examples of play that have URLs I can access easily... http://homepages.tcp.co.uk/~maya/nomine/fiat.html http://www.io.com/~arcangel/GamingWarStories/SSO.html (Involves taking certain aspects of the "canon" -- the established universe -- and twisting them till they're crosseyed) For some free browsing stuff... http://e23.sjgames.com/item.html?id=SJG37-3345 http://www.sjgames.com/pyramid/sample.html?id=5737 (for the more detailed stats and some extra discussion) http://e23.sjgames.com/item.html?id=SJG37-3340 http://www.sjgames.com/pyramid/sample.html?id=2606 http://www.sjgames.com/pyramid/sample.html?id=3268 http://www.sjgames.com/pyramid/sample.html?id=4328 http://www.sjgames.com/pyramid/sample.html?id=5649 http://www.sjgames.com/pyramid/sample.html?id=5604 The Game Master's Guide has a whole section on, heh, guidelines for how "black and white" or "shades of gray" one wants one's setting. (Contrast, Brightness, and humor are the ones it covers, IIRC.) It makes the core rules much more flexible... Must go get food for child soon. She's doing interrupts here...

Re: Image Thread
Glad to have a new In Nomine fan, Hari.
No one commented on the stupid pics I posted. *sniffle* ;) Brian

Re: Image Thread
I liked that one with the little kitten and the gun. Cute, almost painfully so, its a memorable picture. Its begging for a really good story.

Re: Image Thread
Take from spybusters.com:
Tuesday, February 27, 2007 "Like this cat was watchin' me, man." Acoustic Kitty was a CIA project launched in the 1960s attempting to use cats in spy missions. A battery and a microphone were implanted into a cat and an antenna into its tail. Due to problems with distraction, the cat's sense of hunger had to be removed in another operation. Surgical and training expenses are thought to have amounted to over 10 million British pounds. The first cat mission was eavesdropping on two men in a park outside the Soviet compound on Wisconsin Avenue in Washington, D.C.. The cat was released nearby, but was hit and killed by a taxi almost immediately. Shortly thereafter the project was considered a failure and decided to be a total loss. So that explains it. |

Re: Image Thread
Hey there, new to the forum. Thought someone might be interested in seeing some of my doodles, since they're angelic/demonic in subject. They might inspire some In Nomine stories.
Let me know what you think? The newest images are listed first ... http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/42347545/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/41266447/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/38363550/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/32429537/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/30056478/ The rest are pretty old sketches ... http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/26688659/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/25510132/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/30056478/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/19423696/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/16734484/ Anyway, hope this is the appropriate spot to post. |

Re: Image Thread
My ability to comment is limited by the attention-demanding child... The Tarot card there makes my eyes go all o.O O.o O.O, though, due to odd dreams from long-ago, and a bit of friends-locked fanfic...
Dear me. Neat.

Re: Image Thread
Thanks for the compliments. I've done a bit of practice, and hope to go pro someday (even submitted my portfolio to SJ games, but don't tell anyone).
I'm still figuring my way around In Nomine and will most likely have questions about character creation later, and in another thread. Any suggestions for Angelic or Diabolic character type illustrations are always welcome, as I'm always looking for fresh ideas to doodle out. :D |

Re: Image Thread
Good luck on the portfolio. (I have about zip-all influence, so please don't read that as sarcastic or wink-wink. O:> )
As for things that would bemuse me, personally and selfishly... There are not nearly enough pictures of Kyriotates in the world. (Just remember that disclaimer up there; it's not me artists need to impress until after they've gotten past the art director. And maybe not even then.)

Re: Image Thread
Quick update to a previous article in this thread: the Roxy, a roller hall proposed as a Tether for Creation, has now shut down.
