Yeah, that and my blood was VERY thick. They stuck me 13 times to try to start a IV and couldn't get any blood to come out. That's why they installed the PIC line. I might end up needing a port before this is over.

Blood is thicker than water... and much tastier.

Triple Threat: Aurumvorax

"A is for aurumvorax and that's good enough for me!" Aurumvorax (plural aurumvorai? aurumvoraxes? aurumvorae? aurumvorax?) are nasty critters that snack on metal like a junkie on smack. Isn't that fun? Hell yes it is.

The Hurt Locker: The Golden Monk

It's a MacGuffin with an eastern bent. A golden statue with a mummy inside...but why? What's the point? Will it unlock some secret inner strength or give wisdom? Does it lead to some place lost to the annuals of time? Is it all of the above? Recently reported in the news, I've decided to give it a bit of a RPG spin for your campaigns. In today's Hurt Locker, I look at what a mummified monk bound in gold might be to your game...

Book Review: GURPS High-Tech: Adventure Guns

A quickie post (I'm marshaling my forces from the word mines) about one of my favorite authors on a subject I'm rather fond of.

Triple threat: Nemean Lion

What's good enough for Heracles is good enough for you! Well, you don't have to complete all the labors - but that one with the lion doing eating people might be a good one. I take one of mythology's coolest monsters and GURPSfy it. (Note: From now on - and when I have time I'll be adding them to the backlog - the Dungeon Fantasy entries for the Triple Threat will have a calculated CER per the rules from my article "It's a Threat!" in Pyramid #3/77: Combat.)
