Default What Should a AtE Gadgeteer with Inventor! Make?

Ok in an upcoming AtE game I'll be playing a Tech with Gadgeteer and Inventor! skill level 16, versatile +1, and Single-Minded +3. My GM is ruling we don't have to pay points for advantages acquired in play. I'm not suggesting we munchkin this game, but yes if I create a pill that gives me +1 ST it just will.


What should I be making?

What material is available? What skill base is available? That includes other people's skills for he cannot make something so far up in TL that it is useless in his context-if he tries to reconstruct a truck for instance he needs someone to reconstruct roads, gas, etc for him. What is in demand? And so on.

What's something that can be constructed with a fairly decent carpentry kit(perhaps not even of Ancient Metellurgy for that must be expensive by now), that would be useful to a small hamlet or manor or a medium sized city-state?

Some thoughts:

Gear associated with animal power(stirrups, bit, pack, shoes, yoke, plow, wagon, etc).

Gear associated with water(hull, sail, oars)

With animal and water power you are on the high-road to recivilizing yourself. You can plant crops, transport goods and services. Should it prove necessary you can make war over long distances. You can haul building material. And other things can be thought of.

If your group is mobile, how about a vehicle? an armored car that can be propelled by 4 people on stationary bikes?

If your group is stationary, how about a super-recycler? Something that can take a couch or car or whatever and return it's metal, wood, fiber, and whatever other components may be useful.

I was talking about his culture. Some things he can invent are useless if other things that compliment them cannot be invented.
