Well, the portable 10mm railrifle carries a pi+ on it... ;) Of course, I think I'll add in some hyperdense penetrators for anti-dreadnought armour work. Though that'll require a reload. *cackles*

Oh, they're viable, but only as second-line garrisons. A bit like in BattleTech. And probably also in Starship Troopers, though Heinlein doesn't mention it, at least not that I saw. Speaking of which, I recall someone posting a GURPS version of the Starship Troopers battle suit, complete with the missile launcher. Anyone else recall that, or might know where I ought to look for it?

Finally, any good ideas for what I could arm the heavies with? I was thinking of giving every trooper a LAW, a portable rail rifle, and maybe an underslung grenade launcher, with the heavies carrying gauss LMGs, but other than that I'm a little stumped.

Also, I have 5 players, but some differing opinions in the group on roles. So far, I was in mind to require them to have a medic, a scout/forward observer, a heavy, and a leader, and the last one being "free agent", loose to choose skills that the team might need. Any ideas here? All help appreciated. :)

Again, thanks for all comments.

They shot rockets at us in my last battlesuit game. ;)

IIRC our original round-up in that game was 1 Leader/Pilot, 1 Scout/Forward Observer (Guilty), 1 Medic, 1 Engineer / EW / Science Guy, and 1 Heavy Weapons Guy (Meaning stuff like Explosives (Nuclear Demolitions); we all had heavy hand weapons).. Incoming players after the start of the campaign tended to either go in one of those directions or generalize.

Check out GURPS special ops for additional role ideas.

40K is not much of a roleplay universe.

If you get the original Rogue Trader then it's alot more tame.

BTW who forgot the KK missiles!
