Default Giving a monster card

I haven't found anything about such a situation in the FAQ so I am asking here.

Tonight, at our table of 3, player #1 was about to win the game by defeating a Monster. Player #2 had a "Wandering monster" in his hand, and player #3 had a Monster in her hand.

Was Player #3 allowed to just "offer" the monster to Player #2 so he could play that pair against the Player #1?
Could Player #2 give his "Wandering Monster" card to Player #3?

In a more general way, when can you just give away cards (outside of Charity) and what type of cards can you give away?
In the rules, page 5, it seems to be Items only, as described in the Trading subsection. However, it does not seem to rule out the giving of Doors cards ...

Thanks for the help!

You cannot give players cards except in the ways described in the rules. In general, if Munchkin doesn't say you are allowed to do something, assume that you aren't.
