I agree with everything in Hal's last post. Max damage for a lance should be the same as a long spear with a little extra for the horse.

Good points...though thats for Tourneys.

What about Knight charging on Infantry that doesnt have same reach weapon.
Wouldnt Knight than charge them directly or slightly on his right side for bigger impact ,than can be delivered in Tourneys by "crossing" lance across body to left side?
