It was a Deadlands game. We had got trapped in a village in some sort of... pocket dimension or something (basically if we walked in any direction we just ended up coming back to the village). There was some sort of monster terrifying the village, and we knew the children were involved somehow. After some (honestly quite frustrating) investigation a fight broke out, and in response a "rainbow dinosaur" burst round from one of the buildings. It was described as looking like a kid's drawing, and it turned out that the children's imaginations was terrorizing the town and this was a child's picture come to life.

Somebody saw Season 7, Episode 14, of Supernatural, which is one of my favorites.

"Aren't you the guys from the Health Department?"
"Yeah. And florists on the side."
"Plus FBI. And on Thursdays, we're teddy bear doctors."

"Seriously - Dractopus, Seabiscuit the Impaler, Landshark... what's next?"

"All I ever wanted was a teddy which was big, real and talked. But now he's sad all the time - not ouch sad, but ouch in the head sad - says weird stuff and smells like the bus."

Some of the writing in that show is truly awesome, and usually the lines given to the kids are the absolute best. :)

You have just given me an idea, and now I want to make a thread for it.

EDIT: The thread is here.

Or the one episode of Static Shock that did basically the same thing.

I think the episode of Twilight Zone (or was it The Outer Limits?) was the first one, at least on television.

It was of course an adaptation of a well known short story.

In a modern-day setting, the GM says, "To your surprise, you recognize the police officer from the time he caught you with his wife..."
