Default Kicking the door

So when you kick the door down and a monster is flipped are you automatically in combat I know some monsters say loki for example says "when he enters combat roll the die. Each player in combat loses half that many in play items rounded up. will not pursue anyone 5 or below'

So is there time to ask for help once the door is kick and it is a monster like loki or is it only you that suffers lokis effect ?

And dose not pursue anyone level 5 or below an automatic escape from a monster? What happens if a monster can not pursue you?

You are in combat as soon as you flip the card. At the time he shows up, you are the only person in combat, so the effect affects only you. If he was brought in later (eg, with a Wandering Monster), then it would apply to the person helping if there was one.

I still have an open question in another thread about what it actually means to not be pursued (for a different reason), but generally speaking, it means it's an automatic escape because you are too low a level for him to bother chasing you. What happens is you do not suffer any of the Bad Stuff on the card.
