Upper-Quantum Worlds for the Centrum
I've heard gamers on these forums make reference to running Centrum-based campaigns, and of course the Infinte Worlds book & it's predecessors do discuss that as an option. I'm wondering though, what Worlds you might have come up with to flesh out Quanta 8, 9, & 10 in that case?
The big possibility that jumps to my mind are echoes of Centrum history (obviously, any Echo dating before 1120 is going to be an Echo of both Homeline & Centrum; but there's plenty of uniquely Centrum history between 1120 & 2027). Obviously the main project for the Interworld Service is going to be finding a way to create their meritocratic rational "utopia" while preventing the Last War at the same time. Perhaps there's a "Lizardia" weird parallel that mirrors 1991 Centrum. What other parallels would you put out of Homeline's reach but well in the Centrum's sphere of influence? Re: Upper-Quantum Worlds for the Centrum
If you want to run a campaign with Centrum as the good guys, you can easily just grab any other world, re-examine it for the different perspective from which a Centrum team will approach it and go from there. What Quantum a given world is in is really not important outside of the context of use. If you want a world to be contested, put it between. If you want the PCs (well, the PCs' society) to have it all to themselves, put it beyond.

Re: Upper-Quantum Worlds for the Centrum
Canonically there is no reason to think quantum 8, 9 and 10 universes significantly differ from those within reach of homeline.
Technomancer implies that Hell is found in Quantum 2, but then access to Hell is pretty easy from Yrth, which is Q5. What could make things unique to a Centrum based campaign is accessibility to a Q11 which is very different from Q3 through Q10. One obvious answer if "Hell is on Q2" is true: Heaven is on Eleven! Or something puportedly to be Heaven at any rate. Centrum citizens who believe are doing their best to sneak off in a conveyor to a Q10 (or Q9) universe that has a chronobahn that leads to the Q11 world where God is said to be found. It's Centrum's duty to keep this superstitious drivel from decimating the ranks of their citizenry.

I Think it would be extremelly interesting if centrum had acess to a world where baby jesus was about to be born, and they send a team to monitor the situation.
What wouldnt be their surprise, when they discover the 3 wizard kings are actually amazingly powerfull wizards of 1500 pts! |

It think it was one of the theories mentioned in a sidebar of gurps Cabal. No one really knows who or what Jesus was, or at least if someone does know they aren't talking.

The description of Centrum-Beta suggests that the Centrum echoes are on Quantum 7. The higher quanta are probably just as varied as the lower ones, but perhaps more worlds are Centrum alternates (dead worlds where the Final War was so devastating that the ecosphere collapsed, myth worlds where popular heroes from Centrum literature are real, medieval worlds that diverge AFTER the first divergence of 1120 like a Mongol conquest, rebellions in the New World, disintegration during the War of the Lily and the Rose, etc.) And there are probably some truly weird worlds that have little resemblance to either Homeline or Centrum. |

Re: Upper-Quantum Worlds for the Centrum
Please stop, your posts are making me drool over this expensive
and fantastic-looking book/series... Could the Solar Patrol book fit in the IW concept ? (following your "weird" terminology). >
