A lot of what we call evil is just selfishness, lack of empathy, and just plain *******ness. You don't need religion to have types of characters undeniably prone to them.

I was talking about the kinds of settings that have Objective Evil, Detect Evil spells, and/or saintly nuns who turn into despicable sadists when they've risen as undead, simply because they've risen as undead - not the mundane sort of lower-case evil. Buffyverse vamps, In Nomine demons (I'm guessing), any number of other fictional settings.

If they have no free will, then I don't think they really qualify as evil... more like a destructive force of nature.
Again the vampire guy is evil, he just hangs with ISWAT for self-preservation.

Some works of fiction actually has someone who rises as undead turn evil as transmetahuman said, not because some selfish malevolent Vampire Lord commands them, but simply because the undead, or at least vampires are evil.

Evil makeover, A persons depraved 'darkside', that kind of thing.

Odysseus was the only one who made it home in the Odyssey, usually because both his foes and his friends made some mistakes that they really shouldn't have. Obviously, the guy's a Jinx - I wouldn't want to be on the same team as him.

A talking dog. Basically, a German Sheppard who has human intelligence and the ability to talk. He'd make a very good spy in a lot of situations. Of course, he would also have a bunch of disadvantages connected to the fact that he is not human.

A wise-cracking but charismatic private detective, like Archie Goodwin. Smart, fast, brave, always charming the ladies, with almost cinematic levels of skill, and deep down a good guy, but he's always got some smart-ass remark!

In an IW campaign I ran once, the NPC commander of our team was a man named Colonel Abrams, who looked a lot like a grey-haired Abraham Lincoln. His secret was that he really was Abraham Lincoln, rescued and recruited by an Infinity agent from one of the Dixie parallels where he was about to be executed by the victorious Confederacy.

well noted, but the Character could be an Odysseus from a parrallel where the Greeks didn't follow his idea for the Trojan horse and the war has dragged on another two years.

After he found out his Wife remarried IST recruited him. He never picked up his jinx after the Trojan War.

Lots of cool ideas. An ISWAT game is the perfect game for introducing people to the wide variety of characters that one can play in GURPS. I wouldn't mind seeing PDFs of ISWAT teams like they have for Transhuman Space.

Ooo, I like that idéa. What different themes do you think the PDFs should have?
We already have the mixed bag (the Iconic characters), so how about:

Infinite Worlds: Para-Specialists
For Van Helsing, Hellboy, and Buffy-esque characters.
+ some guidelines for how they could work with I-Cops or I-SWAT.

Infinite Worlds: Para-Specialists 2
More agents, these ones more geared for strange and magical low-tech worlds

Infinite Worlds: I-SWAT Commando
A team with well-armed guys specialized in the firepower heavy cases.
GURPS Action!, and Martial Arts guys of more or less cinematic nature.

Infinite Worlds - I-Cops
A team of cops, detectives, ESPers, historians and other people who are good at solving difficult cases and catching world jumping criminals.
