Sandals of Protection
A friend of mine has Sandals of Protection in play. I have the Magnificent Hat and I get hit by a Curse that bounces back at him. Is he protected or not?

The Sandals only protect you from Curses that you find when you kick down the door. They confer no benefit in this case.
