A bit too wacky for my tastes, but I like a lot of elements of the Girl Genius setting, and I can certainly see myself picking this one up.

Given the subject matter some (preferably somewhat balanced) rules for that style of mad science at-the-speed-of-plot Gadgeteering would be really cool. I wonder if their invention-creating characters will use vanilla Gadgeteering (Quick), the flexible magic system as someone here suggested, something like Modular Abilities, or something else entirely?

From someone other than Phil? That seems...blasphemous.

...it's Kaja, working with someone called Victor who may or may not be on the publishing team, so I wouldn't go quite as far as blasphemy...

I am hard at work--Victor has listed all the artwork we need for the upcoming Girl Genius GURPS illustrations, and I am now going through all my files to collect his selections.
The way I read the quote, it sounds like Kaja is finding artwork that matches what's desired, so it's likely still all Phil's work.

Yes. From the GG Patreon:

I'm still pulling art for the interior of the Girl Genius GURPS expansion, it's taking forever to dig through my files.

There's one clip from the actual comic (in their Christmas Special spoof of Cinderella) that I feel needs to be included in GURPS Girl Genius, the page where she utters the Heterodyne corollary to Clarke's Third Law:
“A sufficiently analyzed magic is indistinguishable from Science!”
Preferably, this would introduce the section on the Sparks and their, umm, Science! (Incidentally, the “Realm Magic recast as Science” from the final issue of Pyramid strikes me as a perfect system for GURPS Girl Genius.)

Very much this! This alone would be worth the price of the entire book. ;)

Yeah. That alone could make the book very useful even for people who never intend to play in the setting.

Yeah, really looking forward to this. Hoping to find something I can talk my gm into letting my Victorian gadgeteer have.

People may have seen this already: Studio Foglio confirm GURPS Girl Genius is pretty much complete and is going to be an SJG Kickstarter.
