Default Christmas Coins Question

Hello Again, Munchkinics:

This thread concerns the Christmas Coins. I have the rules in front of me and they mention specifc days of the year as special for these coins but they do not mention a specific year like the silver pieces. Are the Christmas Coins meant to have thier powers EVERY year on the dates mentioned?

As always, thanks for your responses.

Considering that the rules say that the holiday coins' special rules only activate between December 25th and January 6th, that means that they go over 2 different years. It'd be quite silly if it didn't work every year, and only in 2010 (since they've got the 2010 year inscribed on them).

Now, the monthly rules, other than the special Holiday rules, THOSE will have to be the 2010 monthly ones, because they're 2010 coins. That is what I believe.

The holiday coins have 2 special rules, 1. being the during the holiday season when they are powerful 1 shots and 2. being that you can use them both during a game as opposed to being able to use only 1 normal coin.

Related question to Christmas Coin:

The rules say I can use both Coins, red and green. Can they be coins from different years? Can I use, for instance, the red 2010 coin and then the 2011 green? Or vice-versa? Or just the same coin, same year?

They are a set. You can't mix and match.

It must be asked, can we "blend" them?

;)

Rule number 3 that followed my coins was deviating from what it say on warehouse23's page. 25th to 5th was changed to 26th and 6th

I do follow what the rules that followed the coins
but Q: Which is actually correct?

The correct dates are the 25th through the 5th.

Edited to add: Where did you see the 26th through the 6th? I checked all the web pages, plus the printout on my 2011 coin set, and they're all correct.

Correction on my side; it does say 25th, but it say between December 25 and January 6. (on my 2010 coin rules)

Only remembered that it was the 6th not the 5th so I assumed that it was a 12 day effect on the coins.

It say so on my 2010 version. it does say rule version 1.0 (December 2009) where as on my 2011 version it is correct, same as online rules, rule version 1.1 (December 2010)
