Default Does La La La trump Disaster-Prone Tent?

We opened a seal which made us draw from the door deck to get the last disaster card which would effect everyone. One person avoided the disaster by playing "la la la I can't hear you" which makes the each player on both sides of him be effected by the disaster. The player to his right has the Disaster Proof Tent in play. Is she affected by the disaster?

Disaster-Proof Tent is incredibly iron clad by saying the person using it may ignore the effects of any Disaster. So, no, the player with the Disaster-Proof Tent is not affected by the effects of any Disaster he doesn't want to suffer, even if the player next to him played La La La, I Can't Hear You.
