Alright, I'm calling it: Sunday*, 6:00 PM (-4 EST).
*If I get my stuff sorted in time, there'll be a thread for both of you.

Quick questionnaire:

1) Tone of the game:
A) Light-hearted & whismical with some nonsense (A la Adventure time)
B) Dark and moody, not so much "real" as cinematic (lord of the rings)
C) Realistic, gritty with morals. (I don't have one for realism other than reality...)

2) Length of game (possibly split in to chapters over a period of time)
A) a week (36 in-game hours or so)
B) 2 weeks (7 in-game days, including a small break for travelling large distances)
C) A month (About 2 weeks in game, plus travel time)

3) Complexity of the plot:
A) Simple (Goes with 2A or 2B: Go from A to B)
B) Simple with subplot (2B: Go from A to ?, side quest)
C) Complex, several subplots (2C: Treasure hunt for clues to the plot)
D) Sherlock holmes (2C, and more: Sidetracked to heck and back)

4) NPC interaction and background:
A) Everyone you meet is a full character (2C)
B) Major NPC's, background characters (2C, 2B)
C) Simple NPC's, Mooks (2B)
D) less than 10 NPC's developped, Mooks (2B, 2A)
E) Mooks (2A)

Brett's response:
1B, 2C, 3D, 4A, e.g: high fantasy full-on adventure

My preferences lie between B and C.

Why limit it at all?

C or D

4) NPC interaction and background:

This is purely a GM call and I don't see how I would even know the difference...

the time limit's so I don't run this game too long, and lose interest. Either way, I'm going to start the IC soon. There'll be one for both you and Brett.

For the first part, at least.

I've been thinking of a way to have a secondary meta theme to the game, but i'll keep that a secret for now...

hombrew: Enchantement enhancements and limitations.
A magic enchantment on an item can be purposely cast so that it is limited, or vice versa. The cost increase or decrease is equal to normal levels, with a maximum of 80% of the price taken off.

Homebrew: Enchantement costs
Enchantments cost 1$/point until 120 (double the norm), since the average mana level of the isles is High.

How's that sound?

Whatever you like... we can always say my stuff is from my home-world where the circles are a bit larger or powerstones a bit more common, then neither of us would need to change things (except I need to switch to a less expensive weapon... I'm thinking about a whip.

I can go with the flow, what ever way the flow goes. It depends on how common you want lesser magic items i guess
