Makes you wonder whether White Star has any Astral ventures or is cultivating its connections to the Golden Lodge for this reason.

I see the potential for a conspiracy in everything ;)

The one thing that's always worried me a little is that if the old GURPS Tredroy is in the same chronological order with the other books, then there were mysterious traders at the Sign of the White Star rather earlier than they should have been.... ;}

Yrth mighty be at aboyt the same date as the Real world but Homeline has a date that's advanced well past that. c. 20 years or so.

By the dates given in Infinite Worlds, Infinity can't have been setting up shop before HL2020, which would be Yrth 1997 or thereabouts... but GURPS Tredroy has a House of the White Star in 1989 (shown on a map dated in-world as 1989), with an Yrth-born manager. Clearly someone is up to something! ;)

(Yes, I know the real-world answer is that the 3e and 4e books aren't meant to match up that well, and Infinity's discovery of Yrth was probably just made more recent to make it an interesting unknown for Infinity PCs, but time paradoxes and hidden conspiracies are fun.)

Might have just been a local trading house with the same name.

Or I was right.

The natural portal is 200 feet in mid air. Lucky Infinity has those flying machines eh? Discovered by a trapped Infinity Ornithologist that noticed all the out of place birds.

As long as it isn't in a place where the natives could see it (Say out to sea or some-other place uninhabited) that actually works.

Infinities operations are on Yrth are one the areas I think both IW and Basnstorm let you down, apart from that White Star front we're basically told nothing, considering that this is one of the big worlds (the other being Merlin, which still hasn't been updated) that's rather dispointing

Yrth has an Infinity Class of R2 ("Research, Patrol Personnel Only"). It shouldn't. It has open magic. It should be a Z2 ("Closed, Patrol Personnel Only") at best.

Infinity's operations on Yrth should be as utterly minimal as they can manage while still keeping tabs on anything that might endanger Homeline. That White Star is there at all is pure stupidity from an in-world perspective. White Star isn't Patrol. Even if you retain the R2 classification, White Star shouldn't be there.

I think that's so that players can have adventure there easily, it's one of the Flagship worlds of the IW setting (Big, important etc.)

Infinity might also be considering coming out in the open there, after all the secret is supposed to be out on that world

Then Infinity doesn't understand how the Ministery of Serendipity works.
