Re: [Banestorm] Caithness civil war and Orcslayer
Of course, now I've run into the issue of most of the group being what I consider low end D&D players. Even the previous GURPS players. The kind of players that was the inspiration for Munchkin.
I actually had one of them tell me that the roleplaying opportunities in GURPS looked almost as good as in D&D4, where you could build almost any kind of character you wanted. He then explained that roleplaying meant class and race selection options for the tabletop wargame style game they played. After observing one of their D&D games, it was about 4 sessions per small skirmish, with the only roleplaying involved between skirmishes being "I spend my money on more healing potions". So I may have to scrap some of my plans.

Re: [Banestorm] Caithness civil war and Orcslayer
Oh, I'll be setting the game about 1988, circa Orcslayer/Harkwood. Sort of combining Hardwood/Orcslayer into one campaign with changes to make it different enough that I may be able to run both as written (as much as you can for Harkwood) later on.
