Re: Real-Life Weirdness
The City of London is still paying rent to the queen on land leased in or before 1211.
http://www.atlasobscura.com/articles...leased-in-1211 The rent is an axe, a knife, 6 horseshoes, and 61 nails. They're not even sure where the land in question was located. But the rent keeps being paid to the Queen's Remembrancer. Last edited by Johan Larson; 10-18-2016 at 10:08 AM. |

(Not that those items wouldn't come in handy, you understand. I've seen the Queen's Life Guard on patrol, outside Buckingham Palace.)

And has the Queen really a horse with six legs?

Re: Real-Life Weirdness
They sort of pay with those items. They present them with some ceremony, and then get them back more casually some time later.

Re: Real-Life Weirdness
Wouldn't that be four forelegs? And since four times four is 16, it means her horses have 16 legs! Eat your hearts out Odin and Sleipnir.

Re: Real-Life Weirdness
A new social network for rich kids has a membership fee of $1000 per month to maintain its exclusivity.
https://goo.gl/nUoDJp I'm using a URL shortener in this case, because the site name has the f-word in it, which causes it to get mangled by this forum's profanity filter. Last edited by Johan Larson; 10-20-2016 at 04:33 AM. |

Re: Real-Life Weirdness
So clearly the poster or his partner used their Serendipity up on "all the moneys!"
http://imgur.com/gallery/7ZZYD? (check out the second post, which he links to at the bottom of the first - they did it TWICE because the GM didn't give them enough money the first time).
