it's supposed to come out in dead tree right? I see that the interior is black and white... Personally, I would not mind it as a B&W hardcover or softcover, though I would prefer if it was a color hardcover like the rest of the line, but beggars can't be chosers.

If it's not coming in dead tree, or only as a possible future PoD, then I'll have to buy the PDF and get it spiral-bound (My personal preference is dead tree, at least until I procure myself a decent tablet)

A lot may be recycled from previous editions (I'll have to borrow a copy of 3e's Horror to be sure), but it looks good to me - and like there's a lot of new stuff, including a bunch of templates other 4e crunchy goodness.

Also, great timing with this being released at roughly the same time as Monster Hunters, though they're obviously two different sides of the same coin rather than things that directly complement each other.

It's a new edition, not an all-new book. Madness Dossier isn't there because that setting will be getting a longer treatment elsewhere . . . Despite that one omission, the new edition has 176 pages to the previous one's 128 pages, which translates into 38% more content by word count (so without Madness Dossier, it's more than 40% new material). The extra text comes from roughly a third again as many monsters; entirely new systems for stress and derangement, insanity, and corruption; support for new subgenres (notably J-horror, survival horror, and torture horror); and a bibliography that takes into account a decade of horror fiction released since the last edition. Finally, the recycled content has all been updated to GURPS Fourth Edition and in a lot of cases overhauled descriptively as well (e.g., holy water and silver weapons both get better treatments that offer a wider range of options).
