Doesn't Sleep seems appropriate for a ascetic monk in an appropriately mystical setting, and for the exact reason of getting more time to study. The topics studied (the mysteries of the universe and the inner self) might not be much use to a typical adventurer, though, unless they support magical powers.

535. Not allowed to draw inspiration for a villain from an erotic blog.
535a. Not even if it makes sense for the setting. Even if a rogue wizard/sorcerer/psion could definitely misuse the powers that are already in the core book.
535b. Not allowed another villain abusing Touch of Idiocy and Feeblemind.

536 I am forbidden to ever again have characters recycle songs as motivational speeches.
536a Yes, this still applies no matter how much of a geek my character is, no matter how in character it would be for them. Punishment will be having one member of the audience ask her "Wasn't your speech a song from RWBY?", and a hefty penalty to the roll to motivate the people since she "obviously isn't taking the motivational speech thing seriously".
537 I am to stop having my character create temporary aliases respecting the Color Rule. No, "she's a RWBY fan" is not an excuse. Someone will eventually notice that all of her aliases are color related and pass the word to the evil minions.

[GURPS Space run -- colonists from doomed world settle two plants in the same system, one has recently suffered a massive, unexplained disaster and is essentially lifeless, but terraformable. The other is lovely, if it weren't for the scary-dangerous indigenous life. Then we made a discovery last session...]

537. Not allowed to ask our other colony if they want to trade planets.

538. Not allowed to plot to steal the least-used colony ship (currently in mothballs) to take it out to the asteroid belt and form a free-nation of belters.
538a. Not even if there's not much the remaining colonists could do to stop this -- somebody back home decided none of our ships or vehicles should have hardpoints.

539. Not allowed to ask to surrender to the mysterious entity that's been terraforming our home (the lovely planet) for several thousand years and is in the process of genetically modifying our offspring. [In part because we don't know how to talk to it, or if it even can be talked to or is just an automated program.]

540. Not allowed to leave the samples of mysterious terraforming crystals alone while feeding them energy to see how they work. Two guards on duty at all times.

541a. Not allowed to send the samples of mysterious terraforming crystals that we feed for a bit back to base with the NPCs. They get to stay with us.

541b. Not allowed to intentionally germinate the mysterious plant seed that hatches from an acid-spewing pollinator.

541c. Having ignored the previous rule and planted the seed in a dug-up mix of mysterious terraforming crystals and mysterious genetic altering prions, not allowed to leave it alone, ever.

There's the whole trying to survive while not being the crew of the Promethius. We've got about 6,000 humans, a couple hundred sentient AI 'bots, resource issues trying to maintain our TL, hostile native life, a currently neutral empire of psionic bugs that tried to wipe us out on sight but have been persuaded to prickly coexistence, and now we find out that the whole planet's being terraformed (including us) by an unknown party. One seriously stupid move on our part (the exploration/contact team) and we could get the colony killed or destroy irreplaceable resources with the same effect over a long term.

The swapping planets or bugging out to the belt option was floated (tho not very seriously) given how deep the crap is getting. Various experiments with the mysterious crystals were mooted, and done, but with comments about "yes, I've seen that movie" as precautions were taken. Sadly, so far the mysterious crystals haven't made an overt move.

Did I mention that we've asked our sister planet (colony of about 2,000, most still in freeze tubes during terraforming to make what was the nicer planet in the system before we went on the 100 year sleeper ship journey back into something habitable.) to see if they have signs of the mysterious crystals? It's much less action and much more slow-burn ratcheting of tension. The solider and the doctor on the contact/explore team have standing orders that there are NO acceptable losses -- keep the team and the colony alive, whatever that takes.
