Re: Combat Garage Update
I haven't heard any noise for the Sonic Cannon. I think that's the last of the later Pyramid additions (apart from maybe some odd non-AADA accessories).
User-defined equipment could help avoid discussions on which version of some items is 'canon', and help out the groups with long home-brew lists, but I'm not sure how much benefit/use it would get.

Re: Combat Garage Update
I use the custom equipment section of the CWVD all the time for a variety of purposes (leaving a weight allowance for crew equipment, having damaged components, putting in my preferred values for some of the standard equipment, checking that mission cargos don't break anything, house ruled equipment modifications)
Very flexible and useful without adding in an excessive amount of extra code. |

Re: Combat Garage Update
A quick thought: Is it reasonable to add the Damage Modifier (for collisions) and Targeting Modifier (to be hit) to the design summary? They're important for some designs and they're both 'hidden' in tables/lists for the unprepared.

Re: Combat Garage Update
I tried really hard to like the Sonic Cannon. I think the concept is cool. However, I never could make it work in a practical design when there are so many better alternatives. It just costs too much, in my opinion.

Has anyone actually used SCs in a game? Any successes? Back to the topic: Any ideas which weapon category they should use (for walkarounds)? It might be 'Energy', but would that then include Lasers? Or a seperate 'Sonic'?

Re: Combat Garage Update
I've used them a few times. They're a little weird to use; the 1/3/5 spaces and the weight are what trip me up. Still, they can work in the right circumstances, and we saw them this year in our duels.
My two best outings with them were a boat duel and a high-end pickup. We combine them with lasers in an Energy Weapon category.

Re: Combat Garage Update
I'm sorry to say that even with latest update , Combat Garage is still unnavigable - at least on the devices we use .
So far my phone & my friend's tablet cut off options . Local Library's PCs are better , BUT I can't add Wheelhubs to Front tires , APFSDS Ammo won't load , PCs can't be added to Med PP & Armor won't slope etc , etc . Screens seem to 'jump' and vehicle outlines & titles are superimposed on top of one another . Not sure if this is a UK or local problem ( it wouldn't be the first .. ) and it is an extreme pain . I have almost a thousand designs I wish to share - now that I'm no longer data limited - and I've been told some are unique & very effective .
