I apologize if there's a thread out there discussing this card. I tried searching but was not able to find anything on it.

My group had a debate on this Level 10 3,872 orcs.

My question is for when you can’t beat this (level 10) 3,872 Orcs monster and you have to run away, what are the steps?

Interpretation 1: Roll the die once only for both running away and bad stuff to happen. So if you roll a 5 or higher run away. 3 or 4 lose that amount of levels and 2 or less you’re dead.

Interpretation 2: First die roll is for running away. If you achieved a 5 or higher run away safely.
If you fail, you have to roll 2nd time for bad stuff.

If you can’t run away then the bad stuff on the card comes into play where you have to roll for the second time. Therefore on the 2nd roll, 2 or less you die, otherwise 3 or higher you’ll lose that many levels.

If you fail your Run Away attempt from 3,872 Orcs, roll the die again and use that new result, because the Run Away effect says "roll the die" as the first instruction.
