No. Raiding its' prop department would be fine but in addition to heavy use of the addiction rules we'd need a "Silly Magnet" rule where aliens keep telling you to get your colon scanned.

Re: Spitballing a Space Opera Boxed Set
I've enjoyed the two I've seen. Think TOS Piece of the Action type show and humor level. Certainly better than Enterprise.

Re: Spitballing a Space Opera Boxed Set
I liked the third and fourth seasons of Enterprise and I hate Family Guy, does that make a difference?

Re: Spitballing a Space Opera Boxed Set
Not a lot, they do have humor bits, some run into the ground like the above mentioned Colon joke, but it is played as sci-fi with humor, not as humor with sci-fi wrapped around it.
Give it a watch, you've lost up to one hour if you don't like it.

It's premise seems to be "If Starfleet were manned by _real_ people they'd be getting booze and weed out of the replicators _all_ the time and having lots of verbally awkward/spazz moments". I've never seen much Family Guy but it's probably pretty similar. It's definitely in a "contemporary humor" vein and it'd be R-rated if it could. Oddly, it's not totally silly. You get more than one moment when it's shown that these dweebs have to go do a Kirk-like job in spite of their silliness and they manage somehow.

Re: Spitballing a Space Opera Boxed Set
I don't like Family guy either, but did think third season Enterprise was an improvement.
