Default Santa + Dogs of War

Hi, was wondering about some wording on the Santa card.

My brother picked up Santa from his Door getting kicked down to which I also added the Dogs of War.

The Santa card’s bad stuff says “You may not get any Treasure cards for ANY reason...” and the Dogs of War’s is death.

Does that mean if he fails the runaway for both monsters and he dies then he is unable to draw his 4 treasure Cards when he comes back as his new character?

Thanks for the clarification!

Moved to the main Munchkin forum because this question combines cards from two expansions and "mashup" questions are off-topic in 101.

Yes, if your brother tried and failed to Run Away from Santa and then the Dogs of War, at the start of his next turn he would draw four Doors and no Treasures. This is another example of why it's usually smart to Run Away from the monsters that cause Death first, because if you fail that roll, you don't have to try the others.

That’s good to know. My family has played for several years and we never knew of that rule with death ending your turn (essentially).

Also, thanks for the quick reply, we’re still in the same game.
