Not really. Namor is a lot more powerful than Aquaman, in terms of sheer physical strength and indestructibility. He and Hyperion are way closer together.

And I don't think they were ever on the same team, were they? Try Thor and Hawkeye.

FASRIP is one of the TSR titles that got handed off to "Fan Care" (the other being Star Frontiers)...

Most of the line is available for download.

AMSH is one of my two choices for running supers. The other is the other TSR Marvel, using the Saga engine.

Sure, I was making a little (apparently microscopic; based on the reaction) joke (hence the smiley) on the real world historical relationships of the characters. Namor and Aquaman are both copies of the original Sub-Mariner, and Hyperion is one of Marvels digs at Supes. Which I know, you know, so clearly I'm not really communicating well.

Yes, Thor and Hawkeye would be a good Marvel example of what randomly rolled heroes in the same team might come out like.

Except you have to be sky-high to come up with a unifying theme for any randomly generated superhero.

Not really, the Avengers basic consent was like that... not that it the setting's the need to justify such a team, all it take is the player to come up with a unifying concept for their random powers.

And that requires top-quality psychedelic drugs.

never touched the stuff, and i had fun doing just that 8)

But also remember FASERIP had 3 method of character Generation.

Modeling - not random
Standard - random category and strength of ability, but the power in the category was chosen.
extra random - power in the category is also randomization chosent

I've never done so, but I have played randomly generated heroes with a unifying concept. At the worst you can always go the Carol Danvers/Guy Gardener route and give them multiple origins.
