Yeah, but again, we come at the problem that penetration isn't equal to damage, you can be killed without the armor being destroyed, actually, that's what happens most of the time.

you can give cutting has an armor divisor, however, if you do that, you're going by the line that says cutting=penetration, and, as such, DR should vastly increased, like, AT LEAST be multiplied by 3, since it's downright impossible to cut through armor.

Basically agreeing with the previous posts...it might make sense for cutting to have a better armor divisor than crushing (though I have doubts: an edge is narrow in one axis but long in another), but only once you've made other dramatic adjustments such that even with that humans with hand weapons still aren't actually cutting through armor.

Giving cutting an armor divisor without first radically changing the relationship between melee weapon damage and armor DR is just making things worse.
