Board Issues
Is anyone else having an issue with the dungeon tiles and passageways being a little too tight and causing the layers to fray?
Would the new tiles and passageways in MQ2 cause the same to happen? |

Re: Board Issues
It would be nice if they matched up a little better (some are loose, some have to be forced). I have set 1 and 2 along with the Portal Combat expansion, and it tends to lump up at spots because of this. Not really much to be done about it though, so some of the edges will get frayed and you get the added bonus of hills in your dungeon :)

Re: Board Issues
Most of the time, you do not need to force the tiles. Just try to insert them from the other direction (i.e., slot the tile into the link or the link into the tile). I've found that they tend to only like going in one way or the other. If you find a link that doesn't want to slot onto a particular tile in either direction (that isn't a portal), just return it for an equivalent link and it'll probably fit better too.

Re: Board Issues
When I was playing earlier today with some friends, I noticed that connecting the passageways and tiles so that cuts are // and not /\ helps them from fraying but not by much.
I bought the Portals expansion at the same time I did MQ but didn't play with it until today. A side-by-side comparison of the portals and passageways shows that the portals are larger. We were able to play with the portals but it took a little force to get them work. |

I had the same problem with the "Looking for Trouble" expansion. Its links need to be forced if you want to connect the pieces. It's a bit annoying but I guess that in time they will loosen up.

Re: Board Issues
The die sometimes cuts the pieces on a slight bias. If you can't fit the link over the tab on the room, trying sliding it up from underneath. Usually at least one direction will work. But yes, they're designed to fit snugly.
